Toiletries
Obviously, on the first day in your new place, you’d want to clean up with the brand of shampoo you normally use. And the same goes for all other toiletries, no? Yup. That’s why when you’re packing, make sure you put them in to avoid running around your new neighbourhood in Electronic City Phase 1.
Comforter
The reason why we’ve mentioned a comforter and not a blanket is because you won’t be able to carry one in your airport luggage. That is, if you don’t want to pay for extra weight. But keep in mind, a comforter is something that’ll make you feel at home in your PG and also save you from freezing depending on the weather.
Locks
As you’d be living in a community, you must be responsible for your personal belongings. So we suggest you buy a couple of locks to put up in your room. One can be for the main door and the other for whatever place you decide to lock up your precious items or important documents in. Doable, right?
Extension boards
You can’t tell if the plug points in your new room are at convenient places. Like near the bed. And it’s a PG after all. Some of them have just the most weird layouts out there. So save yourself from being super annoyed at not being able to use your phone while it’s charging. And take an extension board and a multi-plug with you.
Essential medicines
Even if you don’t have prescribed medicine to take regularly, you should carry a pouch of basic medicines in your luggage. Be it a couple of paracetamol tablets or a sachet of ENO for those days when your stomach is just in the mood to bother you.
