Frankly speaking, fully-furnished rooms don’t include much. At least the ones that you get when you casually Google ‘furnished PG near me’. Some of them just get away by providing a creaky old bed. And a make-do table that’s so slanted that your dal rushes to one side when you eat on it. But then again, it’s not like every other PG does that. Especially not managed accommodations like co-living spaces and managed flats.
In case you have no clue about ’em, we’ve got you. Let’s just say, managed-living spaces like Stanza Living are like your ordinary PGs, but a bit extraordinary. We mean, they put a roof over your head and give you two daily meals. But these ones (Stanza Living being the top dog among them!) also provide you super decked up interiors, and more professional services like laundry, housekeeping, and repair and maintenance. Plus, our Stanza Living residences have also got a gaming zone, a fitness center, and curated community events too. So now that you know what co-living or managed-living spaces are, let’s get into what a normal furnished room provides and maybe compare it to managed accommodations as well.
Things that come with a fully-furnished room:

You see, in most fully-furnished rooms, you can be sure to find a bed. And if you’re lucky, a mattress to lay the bed sheet your mum packed for you. But here’s the thing, you also have to look at their quality. Like you don’t want to spend an extra 3k a month on rent for a bed that’s clearly seen better days. Basically, this is one of the common loopholes that you should call out in some so-called ‘fully-furnished rooms’. Cool?
We don’t need to tell you what a study table is for. So instead we could tell you what a study table can come to mean in a professional PG versus an ordinary one. In a co-living space like Stanza Living, where a dining area is a place where you’d actually enjoy having a meal, the study table doesn’t have to go out of its way to become a dining table. So RD Sharma doesn’t smell butter masala and S.Chand doesn’t get his cover page stained with spilled raita.
Moving on, the chair in an ordinary PG room faces the same oppression. It had hopes and dreams to become the best at its job i.e always offering a good place to sit for its owner. But it finds itself working more than a couple of part-time jobs instead. Sometimes becoming a laundry basket. Sometimes a clothes rack. And sometimes, even a pole for the rope to be tied to dry clothes.
Fortunately, its luckier contemporaries have it better in a professionally managed space. They do the jobs they were born to do. Plus, they get paid vacations too, given you’ll want to chill in the cafe chairs and bean bags in their common area. Since these common areas are actually pretty dope and don’t have those equally miserable plastic chairs you’d ignore.
In most PGs, these are the things that are included in a fully-furnished room:
That’s not much of a big deal. You can try any of these steps to find one for sure:
Well, that’s a tough call to make. But here are some criteria for you to choose between a fully furnished PG and a furnished apartment:
