Cinnamon – Jai Mahal Palace Jacob Road

Stepping into the magnificent Cinnamon – Jai Mahal Palace is a treat for the old soul in you. The dishes are prepared in the royal kitchen. And the dinnerware on their tables looks spectacular. It’ll remind you of that aunt whose entire life savings consists of vintage crockery sets. But unlike your aunt, the good folks at Cinnamon WILL serve you food on those, instead of locking them up in a ‘showcase’.

Must Try: Lahabi Kabab, Dahi ke Kebab

Location:Jai Mahal Palace, Jacob Road, Civil Lines, Jaipur

Timings: 12.30PM – 11.30PM

Cost for Two (INR): ₹3,600/-

Sheesha Gopalbari

One of the top rooftop restaurants in Jaipur, the Sheesha is known for serving lip-smacking meat dishes. Even though the Sheesha has been around for quite some time, it still hasn’t broken its long streak of crowds – waiting outside to get a table – every day of the week. So remember what Lata Mangeshkar said about ‘dil’ (heart) and ‘sheesha’ (glass)? That they must break at some point? Well, that’s clearly not the case for the latter.

Alexa, please play ‘Sheesha ho ya dil ho’ to make this joke funny.

Must Try: Tamatar ka Shorba

Location:4th-5th Floor, City Pearl, Opposite RTDC Gangaur, Near Vidhayakpuri Thana, Khasakothi Circle,MI Road, Jaipur

Timings: 10 AM – 11 PM

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,500/-

Meraaki Kitchen Madrampura

The Meraaki Kitchen is a popular concept restaurant. Founded by chef Neha Deepak Shah and young entrepreneur Shivika Kothari, the place wants to serve minimalistic yet flawless global food. Though ‘Meraaki’ is the most common username for the bazillion poetry pages on Instagram, the dishes (and the recipes) served at this place are anything but common. Don’t believe us? Just head there to check for yourself.

Must Try: Vada Pav Slider, Asparagus Sushi

Location:27, Madrampura, Civil Lines Metro Station, Opposite Pillar 88, Civil Lines, Jaipur

Timings:12 noon – 10 pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,800/-

The Verandah Rambagh Palace

Few places can serve a royal experience like the Verandah. Located in the Rambagh palace, the seating area is situated outdoors, in the lush green lawns of the palace. Housed under chic red umbrellas, the tables are attended by servers wearing traditional royal turbans. So even though you might be a simple college kid ordering a meal, the Verandah will make you feel like a royal character in a Vikram Seth Novel.

Must Try: Caribbean Chicken Salad

Location:Bhawani Singh Road, Rambagh Palace, C Scheme, Jaipur

Timings:6 am – 9:30 pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹4,000/-

Saba Haveli Gangapole

The Saba Haveli restaurant is located on the terrace of – well no points for guessing – a 200 year old haveli. You can enjoy a gargantuan North Indian feast with a view overlooking the Nahargarh fort and Garh Ganesh temple from there. Basically, if your idea of a haveli is just evil dead princesses seeking vengeance upon tourists (thanks to Indian horror soaps), then the Saba Haveli will change your mind for sure.

Must Try: Chicken Kasa, Mutton Biryani

Location:477, Saba Haveli, gangapole, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302002

Timings: 24 Hours

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1000/-

Handi Restaurant Ashok Nagar

Just like their name suggests, the Handi Restaurant, Jaipur, is famous for their handi meat. They slow cook the meat over burning charcoal, which retains a delicious and succulent flavor. Most locals would bring their new touristy friends here for their introduction to traditional meat dishes of the region. Or as an excuse to eat at their favourite restaurant for the millionth time in the week.

Must Try: Handi Chicken, Butter Chicken

Location:MI Rd, opp. GPO, Panch Batti, C Scheme, Ashok Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302001

Timings: 12 PM – 11 PM

Cost for Two (INR): ₹500/-

The Rajput Room Rambagh Palace

Another great restaurant located in the Rambagh Palace is The Rajput Room. But unlike many other palatial restaurants, this place is more inclined towards international cuisines. Like Asian, Continental and even European. And of course, the decor is drop dead gorgeous. Basically, if Downton Abbey ever came up with an Indian version, it would be shot right here in the The Rajput Room.

Must Try: Bruschetta, The Rambagh Kebab sampler

Location:Bhawani Singh Road, Rambagh Palace, C Scheme, Jaipur

Timings:6am – 9:30pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹4,000/-

Taruveda Madrampura

The Taruveda Restaurant has quickly climbed on the list of the top restaurants in Jaipur. Mostly because of the comfort food and creative decor. Also, the place has super comfy chairs. So much that you’ll never see people eat hurriedly and leave right after. Apparently, these chairs have made more people bend their backs than the ‘shut up and bend over’ reel on Instagram. JK.

Must Try: Spicy Tuna, Bao

Location:1st Floor, Sunraj Villa, 2 Mysore House, Jacob Road, Civil Lines, Jaipur

Timings: 11 AM – 9 PM

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,000/-

Zolocrust Jawaharlal Lal Nehru Marg

Located in Hotel Clarks Amer, the Zolocrust is one of the few restaurants in Jaipur that’s open 24×7. Also, folks who are conscious eaters will love this place for their use of farm-only ingredients. Though the best crowd puller of this restaurant is probably their cakes. They’re so tasty that even during birthday parties, you wouldn’t want to waste even a tiny ounce of it on your bestie’s undeserving face. Just sayin’.

Must Try: Crunch Cake, Roasted Veggie Pizza, Mexicana Pizza

Location:Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur

Timings: 24 Hours

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,500/-

RJ14 Ajmer Road

As far as the rooftop restaurants in Jaipur go, the RJ14 has the best view among the lot. Also, the menu is purely vegetarian. We recommend ordering their Chana Masala and Tomato shorba. But those, you’ll order anyway given their manager’s very convincing and soothing voice. Pretty soon you’ll wanna listen to him speak even more than Neelesh Mishra’s podcast on Saavn. No kidding.

Must Try: Chicken Leg Biryani

Location:Chitragupt Nagar 2nd, Near Imli Phatak, Tonk Phatak, Jaipur

Timings: 24 Hours

Cost for Two (INR): ₹300/-

Colorbar Durgapur

Not every restaurant can serve comfort food (and provide a cozy experience) like the Colorbar. Along with a range of signature cocktails. Plus, the rooftop seating area will help you curb your stress with comfy cushions to sit back and enjoy the gorgeous view of the skyline. Basically, everything about the Colorbar is soul-warming. Maybe even more than every freakin’ episode of ‘This is Us’.

Must Try: Broccoli Peanut Kebab, Cheese Pop Bite

Location:Plot 5 & 6, Pinkcity Buildhome Private Limited, Airport Plaza, Sanganer, Jaipur

Timings: Mon, Wed-Thu:7:30pm – 11pm Tue:Closed Fri-Sun:7:30pm – 12:30am

Cost for Two (INR): ₹2,500/-

Om Revolving Restaurant Church Road

Om Revolving Restaurant is known for its unique layout. The restaurant is circular, offering a 360 degree view of the city. Our personal recommendation would be ordering their Rajasthani thali. Which, also, will give you a 360 degree understanding of Rajasthani staple. Basically, they really have taken the concept seriously. Even more than internet marketing gurus claiming to provide a ‘360 degree’ course for time management (Ankur Warikoo, we’re looking at you!).

Must Try: Choice of Club Sandwich, Karara Dahi Kabab

Location:Hotel Om Tower, Church Road, MI Road, Jaipur

Timings:Mon-Sun:12noon – 3pm, 7pm – 10:30pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,000/-

Steam Rambagh Palace

The Steam serves scrumptious Mediterranean, Italian and Lebanese cuisines. Also, it’s a theme-based restaurant in Rambagh Palace. The entire restaurant is designed like a Victorian train station with a real steam engine train parked on an artificial track. Perfect for couples who’d wish to recreate an evening like Jesse and Celine’s in Before Sunrise. You know, without spending a fortune on a European trip.

Must Try: Shrimp Skewer, Falafel

Location:Rambagh Palace, Bhawani Singh Road, C Scheme, Jaipur

Timings:6pm – 9:30pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹2,800/-

Laxmi Misthan Bhandar Johari Bazaar

Laxmi Misthan Bhandar is one of the oldest eateries in Jaipur that goes back to the 1950’s. Apart from being a sought after vegetarian restaurant, it is famous for its milk-based sweets. Probably every other kid in Jaipur grew up with the LMB’s rasmalai. Like Delhi kids grew up with Khan Chacha’s rolls. Like mumbaikar kids grew up with Aram’s Vada pav. Or like how Bangalore kids grew up with, errrrrrrrr….we don’t know, traffic?

Must Try: Kala Jamun, Dahi Vada, Rajasthani Thali

Location:98-99, Bapu Bazar, Johari Bazar Road, Pink City, Jaipur

Timings:7am – 11pm

Cost for Two (INR): ₹1,300/-

Fort Restaurant Adinath Nagar

Despite their name, the Fort Restaurant is not located in a literal fort. The place is more like a diner with the idea of serving food for large groups of people. Also thanks to The Fort’s delicious combo meals and budget friendly booking prices, a majority of wedding planning meetings and pre-wedding dinners are held here. Basically, this is like a Cafe Coffee Day but for Rishta.com users.

Must Try: Chicken Thali, Methi Paneer Tikka

Location:B4, Nahargarh Haveli, Lane 1, Ajmer Road, Gopalbari, Jaipur

Timings: 1 PM – 11 PM

Cost for Two (INR): ₹750/-
