5 Things you should think about when you’ve decided to move to a rental place in Hyderabad:

Looking for a place that comes with housekeeping, yum meals, and unlimited wifi? Check out our residences in Hyderabad. |
First things first, before you start looking for matching carpets and drapes, you should consider the locality you’d want to stay in. If you’re a student, pick areas near your college or your coaching institute. We promise you, it’ll save you a lot of monies on your commute. Plus, when you’re put up in a student area like Ameerpet, you get the perks of being near dirt cheap eateries and easy availability of used items. Basically, ‘ameer’ in Ameerpet is just for effect. Like shabby buses using the word ‘deluxe’.
Also, here are some areas you can consider staying in the city:
Is renting an apartment more expensive than staying in an ordinary PG? Yes. Is a managed co-living space better than an ordinary PG? Yes. Is renting an apartment better than staying in a co-living space? That, you’ve got to decide. Because as much as renting an apartment lets you be completely independent, it can also come with a lot of chores.
But if you consider our fully-managed apartments in Stanza Living, then that sort of evens up the deal. In simple words, you’ve got to decide how you want to live. Because if you’re someone who’s very particular about their space, maybe living with a roomie is not a very good idea. The last thing you want is a roomie who’d suddenly sit in your bed and squeeze in to watch whatever you’re watching on your phone, arrrgh.
Once you’ve decided how you’d want to live, you’ll have to pick up some furniture (unless you’ve found a fully-furnished place). If you ask us, buying new furniture is not a great idea. Renting them is better. And renting from online furniture rental startups, even more. The good news is that you’ll find plenty when you’re in Hyderabad. Also, we highly recommend renting a bed sofa. It’s only the greatest invention created for house parties and those special creatures who spend most of their first years sleeping on other people’s couches even if they have a 3 bedroom apartment of their own.
Can you even call it a home if there is no high-speed wifi in place? Obviously not. So if you ask us about the internet charges, it’s pretty much the same as any other city in the country. And FYI, local wifis are good too, but if you want to avoid the hassle of calling up the guy for recharges and all, go for a fiber connection from a national telecom. As for the electricity, it will cost you ₹ 5/- for the first 200 units, ₹ 7.2/- for the next 100 units, ₹ 8.5 for the next 100 units, ₹ 9/- for the next 400 units, and ₹ 9.5 for all above. Basically, it’s like losing points in video games. Except here you get a real bill slid under your door.
If you’re put up in a PG or co-living space, then good. Your food will be served to you every day. But if you’re put up in an apartment, you can either shop from online grocery delivery startups or opt for a tiffin delivery service to avoid cooking altogether. We personally recommend Tinment or Dabbawala Hyderabad. One bite out of either of their signature dishes, and you’ll start missing your mum’s cooking a little less.
